Triple Method - RIP Harambe

Prime recently dropped a harsh truth around writing software

  • Write it 3 times -> Work production
  • Write it 2 times -> production (enought)

The phases

I've been constantly, throughout my career trying to increase productivity, while at the same time been realistic around when I'm going to actually find time to focus and output code. Which has, for better or worse gone into this cycle:

  • 11:00pm - 02:00am: Writing some sort of functional code (metaphorically yelling out D**** for Harambe)
  • 09:00am - 11:00am: re-visiting and feeling like woah, what was I even doing (masive refactor)
  • (N number months): Finding the patterns, completely re-writing or refactoring for a nice abstraction
